What for a glossary?
Science is based on clear thoughts. Clear thoughts need clear terminology. In each profession, there exists a vocabulary, one needs to know to efficiently communicate with others.

beam splitter | Farbteiler | interference filter in epifluorescence microscopy that reflects the excitation light, but transmits the fluorescent light |
