Unraveling the molecular mechanisms underlying drought stress on tomato growth and development
To unravel the impact of drought on the growth, development, and yield of tomatoes, and to discern precise molecular mechanisms, the research questions outlined in this plan are as follows: Investigate the influence of altered antioxidant levels in water-shortage environments on the growth patterns of tomatoes; Explore the impact of S-acylation on tomato growth amidst drought conditions, alongside the associated protein interaction network; Identify the proteins engaging with PAT proteins under drought and establish a specialized tomato protein regulatory network tailored to drought stress conditions.
